... it seems to make for a really good session. That's what happened in my Eberron game last Friday. Four of the five party members dropped at least once in the course of the final encounter, but they managed to pull it together and triumph, barely. The exhausted all of their resources and were forced to flee before reinforcements arrived, but they lived.
It was awesome.
