Wolverine: First Class #1

|

I picked up the first issue of Wolverine: First Class yesterday. Written by Fred van Lente with art by Andrea di Vito, W:FC follows the same set-up as X-Men: First Class -- take classic Marvel characters and tell stories set in continuity between early issues.

In this case, the characters are Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, and the story is set during the Claremont/Byrne run of Uncanny X-Men (specifically between #138 and #150). What you get is essentially a buddy cop movie featuring a gruff Canadian anti-hero and a suburban American teen. Whackiness ensues.

I thoroughly enjoyed issue #1 and I'm adding W:FC to my list of monthly titles.
